MOVE

This month, God called His people to MOVE. The story of the four leprous men in 2 Kings 7 reminds us that breakthrough often begins with a step of faith. These men faced a difficult reality: remaining where they were meant certain death, but moving forward, though uncertain, created the opportunity for God to intervene. They chose faith over fear, and as they moved, God moved. The Lord caused the Syrian army to hear the sound of a mighty army, causing them to flee and leaving behind an abundance that became a blessing for God’s people.

Their miracle began with a decision to move.

Many times, we wait for perfect conditions before taking action, but God often asks us to trust Him first. While God has all power, He also expects us to respond in obedience. Every step of faith creates room for His power to be revealed.

This reminds us of the Sunday School song many of us grew up singing:

“I may never march in the infantry, ride in the cavalry, shoot the artillery; I may never zoom o’er the enemy, but I’m in the Lord’s army.”

Whether our assignment seems great or small, every believer has a place in God’s army. Soldiers do not remain idle—they move when their Commander gives the command. Likewise, God calls us to walk in obedience, courage, and unwavering faith.

The Christian life is a spiritual battle. We contend against fear, temptation, discouragement, and the pressures of this world. Yet God’s Word assures us, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind” (2 Timothy 1:7). We are not called to retreat but to advance in the strength of the Lord.

This month, God challenged us to move from fear to faith, from doubt to confidence, from delay to obedience, and from excuses to action. The greatest movement begins in the mind. Romans 12:2 reminds us not to conform to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Our thinking must align with God’s Word rather than our circumstances.

Never forget who you are in Christ. If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17), and as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17). God has not called you to remain where you are but to advance into His purpose and promises.

As this month comes to a close, do not stop moving. Refuse to return to fear, doubt, or complacency. Continue taking the steps of faith God has placed before you, knowing that the same God who moved on behalf of the four leprous men is still working today. May the Lord order your steps, go before you, make every crooked path straight, and lead you into His divine purpose, provision, and victory.
